SM Hi-Plus Releases
the Industry’s First Exclusive Hi-Pass Application
SM Hi-Plus, a manufacturing and service affiliate of the SM Group, has launched the industry’s first dedicated Hi-Pass card mobile app, “HIPLUS”. This marks a first in Korea’s card industry, with SM Hi-Plus aiming to drive service innovation by integrating mobility with mobile payment capabilities.

Previously, SM Hi-Plus provided services such as card applications, auto-recharge, and usage history inquiries through its mobile web and official website. After over a year of development and refinement, the company has now introduced the HIPLUS app—setting the stage for a new era of “smart Hi-Pass” services.
A standout feature of the app is its new digital wallet, Hi-Money, which not only supports Hi-Pass toll payments and recharging, but also extends to mobility services and various affiliated retail merchants. Hi-Money is designed to automatically recharge when the balance falls below a set threshold, using linked bank accounts or Korea’s three major simple payment services: Naver Pay, KakaoPay, and Toss Pay. It also enables users to subscribe and pay for services such as “AnyWay Care,” which provides accident protection of up to KRW 150 million, covering highway tolls, Hi-Pass parking, and more.

The app also introduces an exclusive loyalty program called Plus Point, designed to reduce the burden of charging Hi-Pass cards. Users can earn points through daily missions, check-ins, horoscopes, weather updates, and more. Once they accumulate over 1,000 points, they can convert them to Hi-Money for use in toll payments and other services.
