Korea Prepaid Card Co., Ltd. manages the issuance and operation of Subway’s customer loyalty program, 'SUB Card & SUB Point'.
Korea Prepaid Card Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Subway Korea to supply its BrandPay solution, providing the customer loyalty program 'SUB Card & SUB Point' to over 650 Subway stores nationwide.
The SUB Card is a rechargeable prepaid card that can be topped up online via the payment gateway (PG) within the Subway app or recharged in person at offline stores. It offers a convenient payment experience, allowing customers to use the card like cash for app orders or in-store purchases.
Additionally, prepaid cards in the form of cash vouchers and menu vouchers are available through the Subway app’s “Gift” feature. Korea Prepaid Card also provides services for B2C sales, promotions and giveaways, employee benefits, and B2B bulk distribution.
The SUB Point system is a loyalty service that rewards customers with 3.6% of their purchase amount as points at all Subway franchises across Korea. Points can be redeemed once 3,000 points or more have been accumulated.
Korea Prepaid Card Co., Ltd. is a licensed electronic financial company authorized to issue and manage prepaid electronic payment instruments. On behalf of Subway Korea, the company operates the BrandPay platform that powers the customer loyalty program.
The BrandPay solution is composed of a ledger system for prepaid cards and points, including issuance, transaction processing, reconciliation, and escrow fund management. The entire process is operated transparently and securely in compliance with the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) regulations.

Korea Prepaid Card Co., Ltd. provides its BrandPay solution in two deployment models: on-premises and cloud-based. For Subway, the BrandPay solution is operated on a cloud-based system certified with financial cloud security standards.
In addition, point-based services can be offered depending on each brand client’s needs. The solution integrates with client mobile apps and in-store POS systems through APIs. Key APIs include: balance inquiry, activation, recharge, payment, cancellation, forced cancellation, transaction history, and validity extension.
The company holds ISMS (Information Security Management System) certification and undergoes regular renewal audits to ensure safe management of transaction data collected during solution operations. It also complies with the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) business management guidelines to maintain its license for issuing and managing prepaid electronic payment instruments.
All SUB Card & SUB Point deposits are 100% safeguarded through one of the following methods: bank deposit, trust account, or payment guarantee insurance. Deposit management status is reported to the FSS on a regular basis.
Through an automated settlement system, payments and withdrawals to Subway’s 650 franchisees are processed on a weekly basis. An administrator portal is also provided so franchise owners can check their settlement details at any time.
